Diet Advice

Advice from the British Dietetic Association:

“There are many nutrients that are involved with the normal functioning of the immune system and therefore we would encourage maintaining a health balanced diet in order to support immune function (include copper, folate, iron, selenium, zinc and vitamins A, B6, B12, C and D). We would therefore not recommend any food over another but instead encourage eating a variety of foods to maintain a health balanced diet”

Advice from Food Standards Scotland:

“There is currently no evidence that food is a source of coronavirus (COVID-19) and it is very unlikely it can be transmitted through the consumption of food”

Support for healthy eating
